We are seeking a mid to senior level transportation engineer to work in our South Bend office. We have been in business since 1988 and are now a mid-size company with three offices located in Northern Indiana. The selected candidate will have a B.S. in Civil Engineering or Civil and Construction Engineering. Ideally, we are looking for a candidate with 5-10+ years of experience in transportation. Professional Licensure is required. The ideal candidate will be a well-organized, motivated, self-starter with a proven track record of managing projects and leading a team of engineers.
In this role, you will:
- Prepare assignments such as engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, technical reports and construction cost estimates
- Perform planning analysis for design activities for transportation projects including highway design or new alignment and modernization of existing roadway systems
- Have contact with municipal clients, utility districts and other state agencies
- Attend on-site as well as off-site meetings
- Be involved in business development efforts and write proposals
- Develop scope, budget, and schedule of engineering projects
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team members
- Have the ability, to mentor junior engineers
- Work with and manage a small team of engineers and design professionals to deliver a quality product to our clients
Qualifications include:
- B.S. in Civil Engineering or Civil and Construction Engineering
- 5-7 years of transportation experience are preferred but all applicants will be considered
- INDOT experience would be a plus
- Proficient in AutoCad and Civil 3D
- PTOE preferred
