Jones Petrie Rafinski is an Engineering and Architectural firm with three locations in Northern Indiana. Due to growth, we are currently accepting applications for the position of Human Resources Specialist.
This position will be based out of the South Bend, IN office.
Essential Functions:
1. Employment and Retention
- Assists in recruitment efforts of new employees.
- Uses social media to support recruiting efforts.
- Attends career fairs or on-site campus visits to increase Company name recognition.
- Coordinates interviews for candidates for employment.
- Prepares applicant letter of regret and/or acceptance.
2. Training Administration
- Assists in establishing in-house management training programs that address Company needs across departments or division lines (e.g., performance appraisal, interviewing, supervisory skills, interpersonal communication skills, etc.).
- Assists Department Heads in the development of staff.
3. HR Policy Administration
- Develops, recommends, and administers various Human Resources plans, policies, procedures, objectives, goals, and budgets for the Company and recommends necessary changes.
- Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resources functions (e.g., IOSHA, EEO, ERISA, ACA, Wage & Hour). Monitors exposure of the Company. Directs the preparation of information requested or required for compliance.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources Management, business or related field.
- A minimum of two to four years of human resources experience.
