The Town of Syracuse, looking to update their existing baseball/softball facility to better accommodate youth baseball and football leagues, hired JPR to develop a conceptual Master Plan with corresponding cost estimates. The design solution successfully allowed multiple users and activities to exist and function within a relatively small site.
The design incorporated:
• Multi-use playing fields
• A central concession facility
• Fitness zones
• Walking paths
• Low maintenance landscape features
The Town of Syracuse utilized the Master Plan and cost estimates to gain the funds necessary to build the athletic complex – successfully raising approximately $400,000 to construct Phase 1. This phase consists of four ballfields, a maintenance and storage building, restroom facility, and walking paths. Phase 2, completing the project, encompasses the installation of field lights, dugouts, and the development of the football field.
The Syracuse Youth Athletic Complex is projected to be a vital asset to the community as the population grows.
