As part of the design services provided for the Renaissance District’s mixed-use development in downtown South Bend, JPR worked with the owner as well as the Purdue University tenant on leased space improvements for the Purdue Polytechnic program. The Purdue Polytechnic Institute is a college-level vocational program that is active during the academic year.
As their program out-grew the area previously leased for Indiana University, the Polytechnic Institute had a need for their own space. The new space includes two classrooms with the ability to be combined into one large classroom. The main section is designed as workable “lab” space for hands-on engineering projects, and includes flexible suspended busway power access, under-floor data and compressed air, and a commercial fume hood closet.
JPR also developed an additional tenant space for Purdue Polytechnic High School.
