JPR was engaged to assist in the creation of a Master Plan for a new mixed-use development at a vacant site in Jefferson City, MO. The client was looking for a home for a new independent Minor League Baseball team, along with a site that would attract outside developers.
This Master Plan project included the development of a new multi-sport stadium venue which would host both professional baseball and professional soccer, but also leave open the possibility for other sporting events. The stadium complex included an integrated hotel, retail area, and convention center. In addition, a future mixed-use development was proposed to be phased into the surrounding site to attract office, residential, and retail use – and to create an attractive public destination at the edge of the City.
