Auburn River District Revitalization Plan

JPR had the privilege of working with the City of Auburn to form a Master Plan for the River District, located in downtown Auburn.

In meeting with City officials, JPR was able to identify specific needs and desired outcomes for the River District. Utilizing this information, the design team formed a Master Plan that would incorporate unique and multi-functional civic gathering spaces, business and downtown living opportunities, and engagement and recreational connections with Cedar Creek.

Design components for the Master Plan included a riverwalk, riverside performance venue, family play areas, and memorial spaces. Multi-use spaces were also designed to provide a wide array of events - such as farmers markets, festival staging areas, and outdoor leisure and dining spaces.

The final Master Plan set the vision for Auburn’s River District and provided the City with a tool to engage businesses and developers, while also igniting excitement among residents for the future.
